Following a huge leak, Rockstar has uploaded the full trailer for GTA 6, which will be launching in 2025.

The initial unveiling of the GTA 6 trailer, originally set for tomorrow at 9 AM ET on YouTube, took an unexpected turn as it surfaced prematurely due to a significant online leak from an anonymous Twitter account today.

Despite the leaked trailer featuring an intrusive bitcoin advertisement, Rockstar Games responded swiftly by officially releasing the trailer on its YouTube channel on Monday. The Twitter account responsible for the leak has since been suspended, likely facing legal repercussions from Rockstar’s legal team.

The trailer predominantly showcases generic scenes of Vice City accompanied by background music, introducing the city’s inhabitants. Subsequent footage captures peculiar events, such as a man extracting an alligator from a pool and individuals engaging in unconventional activities on top of cars, presumably on an undisclosed social media platform.

Towards the end, the trailer introduces what seems to be the game’s primary characters—a male and female duo executing a store heist at gunpoint. Confirming prior leaks, the characters appear to share a romantic, Bonnie and Clyde-esque relationship.

The trailer concludes with the announcement that GTA 6 is set to launch in 2025, without specifying an exact release date. While the leak undoubtedly excites many, Rockstar is likely displeased with the lack of control over the reveal. The studio has grappled with leaks since announcing the trailer’s impending release this month, with snippets of gameplay and crucial details, including the game’s map, surfacing on TikTok via a Rockstar employee’s son. Earlier this year, a hacker shared gameplay footage from a development build on social media.

Recognizing the challenges Rockstar faces in safeguarding details about one of the most anticipated games in the industry, it’s foreseeable that more leaks may occur before the 2025 launch. Nevertheless, gamers now have a broad timeframe to anticipate the release.
