Kingdom Hearts 3 streamer MomoPkmn95 has become the first person ever to beat Kingdom Hearts 3 on Critical Mode with a dance pad.

Mastering games with dance pads has become a notable display of skill lately, with titles like Elden Ring, God of War, and Metal Gear Solid conquered through the art of dance. The latest conquest on the list is Kingdom Hearts 3, as Twitch streamer MomoPkmn95 achieved the remarkable feat of being the first person ever to complete the game on Critical Mode using a dance pad.

Momo recently shared the conclusion of her achievement in a video posted on her personal Twitter account. In the video, Sora delivers the final blow to Xehanort after what undoubtedly was a challenging and lengthy endeavor. To provide a comprehensive breakdown of the entire run, Momo uploaded a detailed video on YouTube outlining the struggles faced and the strategies employed in overcoming some of the game’s trickier sections.

Adapting to the unique challenges, Momo had to significantly alter her gameplay. Kingdom Hearts 3 lacks the Reflect ability unless equipped with powerful Keyblades like Oblivion or Oathkeeper. Additionally, she had to set up a separate foot pedal to prevent accidentally activating the shotlocking mechanic.

One major obstacle occurred in the Toy Box world, where Momo found herself unable to turn around while piloting the Gigas mechs on the first floor. After a considerable amount of strafing and strategic cannon firing, Momo successfully navigated this section, although she described it as “stressful.”

Throughout the rest of the run, Momo demonstrated impressive adaptability, utilizing summons like Wreck-It-Ralph and Simba to deal significant damage to bosses and wisely employing Kupo coins. Challenges included battles against Leviathan in the Kingdom of Corona, the Giant Flying Heartless in the Pirates of the Caribbean world, and the fight against Ansem, Xemnas, and Young Xehanort in the Keyblade Graveyard.

With a combination of skill, luck, and considerable patience, Momo emerged victorious, etching her name in Kingdom Hearts community history. Regarding future plans, Momo expressed a reluctance to make promises about completing the Remind DLC but did not rule it out either.

For those familiar with the name Momo, this achievement may not come as a surprise, as she had previously tackled similar challenges in 2022. Notably, she managed to defeat every boss in the original Kingdom Hearts using a dance pad, including notorious adversaries such as Phantom, Kurt Ziza, and Sephiroth. Demyx would undoubtedly be proud of her accomplishments.
