More Mario Karts, characters, and gliders are getting the Hot Wheels treatment this year, and you can pre-order them now.

Growing up, I eagerly coveted the coveted Buzz Lightyear toy, inspired by my enchanting experience watching Toy Story in the cinema as a child. There’s a unique thrill in owning tangible renditions of beloved characters from movies and games. For multiple generations, Mario Kart has embodied this joy, especially now, resonating with the exhilarating racing sequence from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. While there’s no sequel on the horizon for 2024 and no news on the next Mario Kart game, there is excitement brewing with the introduction of new Mario Kart Hot Wheels toys.

Entertainment Earth, which already offered an extensive selection of Mario Kart Hot Wheels cars, has expanded its inventory with additional options available for pre-order ahead of their release in the coming months. The standout is a set of four cars featuring iconic Mushroom Kingdom characters: Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Wario. However, what makes this set truly exceptional is that each car is equipped with gliders reminiscent of those in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Scheduled to ship in April 2024, the Gliders Mix 2 set offers fans a chance to enhance their Hot Wheels collection. For those who prefer not to wait until April or are indifferent to the inclusion of gliders, a case of eight gliderless toys is available for pre-order, set to launch in March. This collection includes familiar faces such as Mario and Peach, along with Yoshi, Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, and three other characters from the Mario Kart series.

Completing the lineup is a case featuring three distinct Mario Kart Hot Wheels four-packs. This option adds an element of surprise, as the included Karts are not listed. While Waluigi, Toad, Blue Yoshi, and Diddy Kong are showcased, they may or may not be among the 12 cars included when the product ships in April.

These three pre-orders join a diverse array of Mario Kart Hot Wheels sets already available for purchase and pre-order through Entertainment Earth. Among them is a Jungle Kingdom raceway for Karts to navigate, currently in stock, and previously released sets, including those with cars featuring gliders, will be restocked soon. If you’re seeking a grand challenge for your Hot Wheels, consider Bowser’s Muscle car, part of the many Lego sets released on New Year’s Day.
