A new Mortal Kombat 1 trailer gives us a release date for Quan Chi and a teaser for Peacemaker.

The much-anticipated gameplay trailer for Quan Chi has finally arrived, offering a glimpse into how the character’s moves have been integrated into Mortal Kombat 1. Accompanying him is a new Kameo fighter, Khameleon, marking her return to the series after a hiatus since 2006.

Quan Chi is set to join the Mortal Kombat 1 roster on December 14, while Khameleon is scheduled to make her appearance in January. The trailer showcases their new moves and highlights Quan Chi’s pre-fight banter with other characters. Notably, a playful nod to the Deadly Alliance is included when he faces off against Shang Tsung. The trailer concludes with a teaser involving Peacemaker, hinting at a future confrontation with Quan Chi.

Quan Chi’s fighting style emphasizes his mastery of sorcery, utilizing powerful magic to keep opponents at bay. When faced at close range, he deftly tags in Khameleon to handle the situation.

Khameleon, on the other hand, exhibits abilities inspired by other ninja women in the series. A notable moment in the trailer shows her turning green and wielding a pole, a clear homage to Jade. While Jade hasn’t made an appearance in the current game, the reference suggests the possibility of her joining the roster later on. Khameleon’s release is slated for January, though a specific date has yet to be disclosed.

Quan Chi is the second DLC fighter to join Mortal Kombat 1, following Omni-Man. The trailer hints at the next character being Peacemaker, continuing the pattern of alternating between guest fighters and returning characters. Speculation points to the potential inclusion of Takeda or Ermac, with Homelander expected to join the roster closer to The Boys Season 4’s release date next year.

Quan Chi’s launch is just around the corner, with early access available to fighter pass holders, while others can purchase him separately.
