In a surprising turn of events in Mortal Kombat 1‘s evolving storyline, significant character changes have been uncovered through data mining, shedding light on exciting developments in upcoming DLC content.

Following Liu Kang’s universe-resetting actions and his declaration as the Fire God, several iconic characters have undergone transformative shifts. Kuai Liang has assumed the mantle of Scorpion, taking over from Hanzo Hasashi, while Baraka has transitioned from being Tarkatan to Edenian. Even Reptile has undergone a remarkable transformation, adopting a humanoid form.

However, the most astonishing revelation comes from data miners, particularly TheThiny, who have delved deep into Mortal Kombat 1’s files. Their findings have unveiled a groundbreaking twist: the enigmatic Lin Kuei figure and Cyrax of the Shirai Ryu are now one and the same. Cyrax, traditionally a male character, has undergone a gender transition and is now portrayed as a woman, using she/her pronouns. This unexpected change in Cyrax’s identity has piqued the curiosity of fans and added an intriguing layer to the game’s narrative.

Initially, data miners believed that the uncovered strings of data hinted at the introduction of characters like Frost or Sareena into the main roster through DLC. However, further investigation by @annoyed_sister and TheThiny confirmed that the majority of the dialogues and references were indeed related to Cyrax’s transformation into a female character. This revelation sets the stage for a fascinating exploration of Cyrax’s new identity within the Mortal Kombat universe.

Additionally, the data mine has hinted at the inclusion of Noob Saibot as the third DLC character. According to leaks, this iteration of Noob Saibot will still be Bi-Han, who was transformed from Sub-Zero to Noob Saibot by the enigmatic Titan Havik. These developments promise to keep Mortal Kombat 1 fans on the edge of their seats as they eagerly anticipate the unfolding of these captivating new storylines and character arcs in the game’s future content
